ABOUT ME

During and after studying psychology at the University of Wollongong, I had various paid, unpaid, and research-based work opportunities. This included working with children with disabilities, supporting young people with complex behavioural and forensic issues, and providing learning and behaviour support within school settings in the Southern Highlands (NSW) and in London (UK). After becoming a registered psychologist, I worked for several years with young people aged 12-25 with mental health issues before moving into private practice, where I saw children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of presenting issues.

At Think Well Psychology in Dulwich Hill, I provide psychological intervention to adolescents and adults experiencing mental health issues, including: anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, communication issues, unhelpful habits, executive dysfunction, attachment and relational issues, developmental disorders, personality disorders, and trauma.

Treatment is person centred, which means each person may have a different experience of therapy based on their own needs, preferences, and current life issues. My primary intervention model is Schema Therapy, a valuable evidence-based therapy designed to treat severe mental health issues and also applicable to difficulties considered mild or moderate in their impact on a person’s life. I often include psychoeducation, skills training, and intervention techniques from other therapy models based on each person’s needs. More information on different therapies can be found under the Therapeutic Approaches tab.

You might like to work with me if you are struggling to move past invisible barriers to a ‘good life’, if you know there is a problem but can’t figure out what is making change so hard, or if you have experienced a lack of support or guidance to develop the skills required to feel successful and healthy in your adult life. You might like to refer your adolescent child to me if they need some help to understanding their current life difficulties, consider how they would like their life to be, and begin to take action toward that desired life.
